Fund Raising Committee report: October 2010

General Meeting – 10/17/2010
Committee Members- Beverly DeAndrade- Waaldijk, Pauline Roman-Willis, Jennifer Harding, Renata Stoll, Lorraine Croft-Farnell, Ingrid Thomas-Clark, Carol Cholmondeley-Jonas & Mumel Jones

Our year began with Memorial Day dance, which was held on Sunday May 30th, which netted a profit of $4,112.14.

The Tri-School Fund Raiser with St. Stanislaus, and St. Joseph and St. Rose’s was held on September 4th, 2010. We have not finalized the income and expenditure statements with the other two schools. We have submitted our receipts from ticket sales and the sale of the bar chits and our expenses. We are waiting for the final statement from St. Stanislaus since they have to account for the cost of the drinks and the value of the unused drinks.

Our next event is the Tea Party and Raffle, which will be drawn at the Tea Party on Saturday November 6th, 2010. Raffle sales have been very low and the sale of tickets for the tea party. We ask that you support these events. The prizes of the raffle is not a donation, therefore we begin with an expense of $600.00.

The printing of the raffle was donated by Robert McRae, thanks Robert.

The Valentine Brunch will be held at Buckley’s Restaurant on February 13th, 2011. We will start the sale of tickets on at the Tea Party.

Although not in this fiscal year, we have reserved Anne Blue on Church Avenue, as our venue for our Memorial Sunday Dance in 2011. More details will be made available.

The Fund Raising Committee is the core of the organization’s survival, but we cannot do it alone. We need everyone’s assistance to continue to support our alma mater.

A special thank you to our President Ingrid Thomas-Clark, who is always picking up or dropping off things. Thanks to our Vice President Byron Henry Jr. for his assistance managing the sale of chits at the Labor Day Dance.

Thanks to all the alumni who donated money, food or time for the dances. We greatly appreciated everyone’s help.

We are also seeking donations for the Tea Party and assistance to set up.

Respectfully submitted by,
Pansy Lee-McRae – Co-Chair
Marcelle VanSluytman-LeDoux – Co-Chair
Brenda Ince-Hing – Co-Chair
Peggy Bacchus-Thomas – Co-Chair
Byron Henry Jr – Liaison to the Board
