Goals: The goals of this Committee are as follows:
- Maintain an updated Membership list on the web site.
- Increase membership to association.
- Keep members informed of activities using Newsletters and updating website.
- Encourage members to play an active role in fundraising and other activities.
- Recruit members to serve on the board.

Our current financial membership stands at 76 which includes one honorary member. We did a mailing to about 2/3 of the alumni financial listing (those alumni who at some time had paid dues) in December 2008. We observed an increase in more people registering/paying dues online, even though they were the newer people.
Since our last general meeting in October 2008 we had a membership meeting in December 2008. We discussed at length – once again! – trying to reach out to alumni in the Maryland/DC/VA area. I have to admit we have not pushed on this as yet, but it is a goal we hope to accomplish by summer definitely.
We are still diligently working on the mailing list, updating it. As per usual, if anyone would like to work with us and has suggestions for recruitment we are all ears! I (Monika) will rotate off of the committee in March 2010, if anyone is interested in taking on the mantle of membership I can start engaging.
