Member:
An alumnus/a in good financial standing with the Association, shares a common interest in the Association, has the right to vote, has the right to hold office, and has the right to serve on Committees.
Associate Member:
A person who is sponsored by an alumna, is in good financial standing with the Association, shares a common interest in the Association, has the right to vote, has the right to hold office (except in the positions of President and Treasurer) and has the right to serve on committees.
Honorary Member:
An honorary membership will be conferred on individuals or groups based on their profession, civic or business accomplishments, or distinguished/valuable service to the Association or to St. Rose's High School in Guyana. He/she will not have the right to vote or hold office. Honorary membership is granted by the Executive Board and is decided by a unanimous vote.
Dues:
Membership dues, in the amount of $25.00 USD per year or $40.00 USD per two (2) years for active members, are due April 1 for the fiscal year April 1st to March 31st. Dues received within the fiscal year April 1st to March 31st are applicable to that year only. No one will have voting privilege unless their dues are paid in full. Any changes in the amount for the dues will be decided by an Executive vote.
Members in Good Standing:
Any member whose annual dues are paid in full for the current fiscal year will be considered to be a member in good financial standing, unless otherwise disciplined by the Executive Board.
Penalties and Costs:
Any member whose check has not been honored by a bank will be held liable for all costs incurred and shall not be considered in good financial standing until the delinquency has been rectified.
Termination:
Active membership will be automatically terminated upon receipt of the written resignation from a member. No refund of unused dues will be granted.
Non-payment of membership dues:
Membership may be terminated by the Executive Board if it determines a member has violated the Bylaws or engaged in conduct which violates the objectives of the Association, or is injurious to it. The Executive Board may not terminate a member without first providing the member with notice of the charges and a full hearing before an Arbitration Committee. The final decision will be made by the Arbitration Committee.
Voting Rights:
Voting rights will start thirty(30) days from the date active Membership is established.
